The 6th Nguyen Hoang Phuong Award Ceremony

In 2020, after many rounds of admission, student Nguyen Trung Kien, class K62 of the talented Programme of Bachelor in Physics, was honored to win the First Prize of the Hoang Phuong 2020 award, together with a reward of 15 million VND..
Nguyen Trung Kien achieved the cumulative average score: 3,670 / 4.0; Outstanding students in the 2018-2019 school year; Third prize for scientific research students at school level; 01 ISI article.

 
The second prize was awarded to 02 students: Tran Ba ​​Duong, Pham Viet Anh. Also at the ceremony, the Faculty of Physics met with the new students of the 65th course and awarded scholarships to the excellent students who passed through direct admission (with conditions) and the students with the highest admission scores in fields.


 

 
Speaking at the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr.Vu Hoang Linh, Rector of the VNU University of Science, thanked for the founding teachers of the fund, and the Scientific Council of Award selected the excellent faces to honor. This is also an opportunity for the new K65 students to learn about the history of the Faculty of Physics as well as Prof.PhD.Master. Nguyen Hoang Phuong, the first Dean of the Faculty of Physics. Assoc.Prof.PhD. Vu Hoang Linh believes that, with the academic achievements of the previous students, along with the guidance of the teachers will be the driving force for new students on the learning path.
 
In 2020, the Faculty of Physics enrolls 04 majors: Physics, Materials Science, Nuclear Engineering Technology and Electronic and Informatics. With 215 targets, admitted admission is 274 candidates out of a total of 1,765 registration aspirations.
 

 

 
The Nguyen Hoang Phuong Award is awarded annually to students of the Physics Faculty with outstanding achievements to encourage students who are passionate about physics to actively study and research science. The winners are 3rd and 2nd year Physics students with the best academic results.
 
From 2014 to 2018, the award was awarded to only one person with the best performance. From 2019, the award structure has changed to widen the chances of receiving awards for many students. The Nguyen Hoang Phuong Award was awarded by the Nguyen Hoang Phuong Award Fund (by the alumni of Course 8 and Course 9 of the Faculty of Physics – the University of Hanoi - now the VNU University of Science founded in 2013).

 

 
The award is called the late Prof.PhD.Master. Nguyen Hoang Phuong, the first Dean of the Faculty of Physics – the University of Hanoi as a tribute and honor that the alumni of the Faculty of Physics give to their exemplary and compassionate teacher. Over the years, the Supporting Fund for Talented Student of Contruction Course (FSC) - founded by Mr. Dao Ngoc Thanh - alumnus of the course 8 of the Faculty of Physics, has always been interested in accompanying and has lots of useful support to promote the development of the Nguyen Hoang Phuong Fund with the desire to promote the spirit of learning and research among talented students of the Faculty of Physics – the VNU University of Science.
